AWKA TO STAND STILL …AS MUSICIANS CELEBRATE MOROCCO @ 73

www.odogwublog.com reports that from every indication all is now set for the historic birthday celebration of Ekpili music guru, Morocco Emeka Maduka at 73.
The get-together bash coming on Sunday may 21, 2017 is being put together by performing musician association of Nigeria (Pman) Anambra state chapter, Ayamelum L.G.A. zone.
Venue of the event according to the Pman’s unit secretary. Engr. Amulue Chris, is chief  Morocco music centre, behind lento Aluminum industries. Along Enugu-Onitsha Express way. Opposite Udoka Housing Estate Awka Anambra  state. Time for the event is 12noon prompt.
Expected during the event are top politicians, businessmen, civil servants. The Director General of Centre for Black Arts and Culture, Dr. Ferdinard Anikwe, other guests are  Hon. Raphael Onyenweife. (Africa) representing Ayamelum/Oyi LGAs in federal House of Representative Hon Uche Okafor. Member representing Ayamelum in Anambra state house of Assembly, others are traditional rulers from the LGA and Bob Manuel Udokwu the special Adviser to Anambra state governor on entertainment.
The event according to the chairman organizing committee, Chief Ifeanyi Okafor Egugu, will, apart from the birthday of the Egwu-Ekpili maestro Morocco, who is the patron and premier of Pman South East Zone will also used the occasion to launch his newly constructed ultra-modern digital studio and event centre and officially declare it open.   
Morocco was born 73 years ago at Ukwulu town in Dunukofia L.G.A. of Anambra State. He started playing music at a tender age. But after his secondary school Education, he worked briefly with a recording company in Onitsha. Before he went into music professionally in late 60’s
With many hit albums to his credit, morocco has travelled and performed in Europe, the United States of Americ,a South Africa and East Africa countries and Asia.
