Anambra governorship election 2017: NCP re-elects state officers, plot victory

www.odogwublog.com  reports that the National Conscience Party (NCP) has re-elected the members of its state executive to pilot the affairs of the party in the next three years.
The officers, numbering 15, emerged through a congress held at the party’s secretariat in Awka.
They are: Sir Peter Okala, Chairman; Mr Ikenna Ubakamma, Deputy Chairman; Barr Chibuike Nwabueze, State Secretary; Mr Raymond Anyaeji, Deputy State Secretary; Chief Cletus Onah, Financial Secretary; Mr Emmanuel Uzor, State Publicity Secretary, and Sir Jason Nwozo, State Treasurer.
Others are: Mrs Akaniru Ngozika, Women Coordinator; Mrs Ngozi Umeozuluora, Deputy Women Coordinator; Barr Tony Orunkoya, Legal Adviser; Bishop Chinedu Okeke, State Mobilization and Planning Director; Mr Onyeka Umeononaku, Deputy State Mobilization and Planning Director; Chief Dennis Ezeoka, State Research Director, and Chief David Umeh, Deputy State Research Director.
The congress was monitored by the Election and Party Monitoring unit of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) led by its Head, Mrs Ofong Nkechi, represented by the commission’s staff, Ms Millicent Izuegbu. The national leadership of the party led by its Deputy National Chairman (South East), Prince Goodluck Obi, also monitored the congress.
In his acceptance speech, Sir Okala, lamented that Anambra State has been disappointed many times by its present leadership under Gov. Willie Obiano. He said that with the upcoming congress of the party in the 326 wards across the state, it’s better positioned to win the polls.
