Chief Sir Dr. Kandudi Emma Muonago calls on Elites to engage in Community leadership, hails Obiano

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Vice chairman of the Nigerian medical Association, Anambra chapter, Chief Sir Dr. Kandudi Emma Muonago who was recently crowned the Igwe Oba Obosi representing Ugamuma kindred as a member of the Igwe in council of Obosi Ukwalla kingdom in Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State has called on his fellow elites to come back home and take up leadership positions in their various communities. He also praised Obiano for his achievement on security making Anambra a safe place for investment.
Chief Dr. Muonago made the call recently at his country home Obosi, while addressing newsmen during his coronation ceremony, saying that gone are the days educated personalities stay away from village politics insinuating that it was for local champions.
Chief Muonago said that initially he was not interested in village politics saying that many persons were contesting for the vacant stool but when his community pressurized him, he had to yield to their plea in other to continue his contributions to the welfare of his kindred and Obosi community at large.
    “I am very happy to represent my kindred in the ruling council. I am now their month piece in the Igwe’s cabinet. It is high time the elites took up leadership roles in our communities. Let them come and give their own contributions to the welfare of their various communities. They will serve as role models to our youths who engage in various forms of social vices, “Muonago said.
“I have been part and parcel of the welfare of the entire Obosi community. That is why I was called upon to come and be their Ichie while others were struggling for it. I gave them the condition that they must listen to my counsel if they want me to represent them in the Igwe’s cabinet which they accepted”, he said.

Dr. Muonago advised everybody to be security conscious to enhance the security measures already established by Governor Obiano, saying that now the various elites, business men in home and Diaspora can now come home and invest both knowledge and money to better the lives and economy of Anambra State.

Earlier in his address, Igwe Dubem Iweka III, Eze Obosi said that they were not lesser than 15 persons who contested for the Ugamuma kindred stool but he decided to coronate  Dr. Muonago because of his integrity and former contributions to the welfare of Obosi indigenes. He urged him to continue in his good works and be a model to his people.
