Breaking News: EEDC seizes former Governor Nwobodo’s land , cuts him off from electricity supply since One year, accuses Emeka Offor, Senator Ken Nnamani behind his ordeal

www.odogwublog.com reports that former Governor of the Old Anambra State, Senator Jim Ifeanyichukwu this evening raised an alarm on the injustices against him by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), saying that the company not only seized his four plots of land inside an acreage but also cut him off from the electricity supply in the last one year.

Senator Nwobodo, a Chieftain of the APC, and Honourary Doctorate degree award recipient from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University formerly Anambra state University tomorrow lamented the impunity.
He said he was amazed by such humiliation to a senior citizen and a former Governor of a state even inside his property.

Nwobodo told www.odogwublog.com that he willingly gave out parcel of land to a Federal Government Parastatal as tenant of will 15 years ago but when it was bought over by Sir Emeka Offor , he withdrew his property and asked them to vacate but rather come into negotiation, EEDC threatened to cut him off from their electricity supply and carried out their treat.

He said he was shocked such could happen to a former Governor and a senior citizen comparable to what ordinary citizens must have been suffering in the hands of the EEDC. He said he was without electricity in the past 1 year whereas Senator Ken Nnamani is enjoying steady electricity supply from facilities in his compound.

He asked Sir Emeka Offor and Senator Ken Nnamani to relinquish his property for him or meet him at the law court as he would not tolerate the humiliation any longer. He reminded that whether in his plots or outside his plots, that EEDC suppose to supply him electricity like other Nigerians.
‘’I gave this land to PHCN but things have changed. Why would they seize my property and refuse to negotiate?’’
