Vampire: Okorocha adopts new security measure

Following the huge success recorded by the security apparatus of the Imo state government and the Nigeria Police in tracking down notorious Kidnapper and dreaded armed robber, Henry Chibueze popularly known as Vampire, the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha yesterday announced new measures to consolidate the already lofty techniques’ to ameliorate high caliber crimes in the state.


According to Governor Okorocha, in a statement he made through his chief press secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, noted that the new measures have been undertaken following the new status of Owerri as the fastest growing city in the country and the accelerated level of development in the state, which he noted have occasioned a lot of economic and social activities both within Owerri, the state capital and environs.

He said that the measures would ensure high profiled surveillance in all the nooks and crannies of the state and with the state government working in tandem with the security agencies in the state.

Governor Okorocha has vowed not to relent in his concerted effort to continue to ensure adequate security in the state especially in the area of protection of lives and properties as against what it used to be in 2011.

The state chief executive, however advice parents in the state to monitor the activities of their children and wards closely and to ensure that they do not involve in any unlawful activity or crime." Anyone caught engaging in any unlawful activity or in any crime, will be made to face the full wrath of the law" Okorocha said.


"In all, the government once again, warns that any criminal still operating in any part of the state has the option of either repenting or suffer the same fate that had befallen some known criminals who had come to try their luck in Imo like they had done in other areas but met their waterloo" Okorocha further stated.
