UNN final year student, Joseph Emmanuel, murdered by suspected cultists

www.odogwublog.com reports that a final year student of the department of Political Science, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, identified as Mr Joseph Emmanuel, was on Wednesday, March 22,  murdered by suspected cultists while in his apartment at Ugwoke lodge, Hilltop Nsukka, an off campus students' accommodation, located few meters away from  Nsukka main campus of the University.

 The  deceased  was in company of his friends when the suspected cultists who were  three in number,armed with guns and machete struck. They  gave him several machete cuts before shooting him twice on the head.One of his friends with him, whose identity was not obtained at the time of filing this report was shot at the back but he managed to escape with the injuries.

The Authority further gathered that the victim was rushed  to the University of Nigeria Medical Center, immediately the assailants left and was later transferred to Bishop Shanahan hospital in Nsukka, where he was confirmed dead.

The Enugu state police command Police Public Relations Officer,PPRO, Mr Ebere Amaraizu,confirmed the incident when contacted,stating a full scale investigation to unravel the circumstances of the dastard and  those behind it has begun.

However, 'The Authority' gathered from  anonymous sources that the deceased belonged to the 'MMM' ponzi scheme and was a guide to many  clients of the scheme within the vicinity before the scheme collapsed.

A resident in the area  alleged that  the murder of Mr Joseph Emmanuel could be a retaliatory attack by a rival cult group stating that somebody was shot earlier on Sunday, just a shut distance away from the Ugwoke lodge,where the deceased resides.
