Uba in trouble in APC as Ubah, Nwibe, Muoghalu have better chances --- Even Obiano, Ezeemo too in other parties

www.odogwublog.com reports that though the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra state, yesterday handed over the party’s constitution and the broom ahead of the governorship election in the state to the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial zone, Andy Uba, his chances are slim according to his constituents.

His constituents in Anambra South senatorial zone said Anambra state is not the property of the Uba’s of Uga community saying rather than vote Senator Andy Uba, that Anambrarians would vote either Ifeanyi Ubah, George Moughalu even Barth Nwibe, all in APC.
They reasoned that antecedents of  the senator who ruled Anambra for 17 days as a Governor, and recently joined APC from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to actualize his governorship ambition wasn’t the man to hand the affairs of Anambra state.
Mr Izuchukwu Enemchukwu and his group insisted that Andy Uba is not a governorship candidate and rather said Ifeanyi Ubah is tested and trusted material for Governorship of Anambra followed by George Muoghalu and  Barth Nwibe from Anambra south.
Chukwudi Eze however rooted for Godwin Ezeemo of PPA while former Governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife said Governor Willie Obiano stands the best chance to complete his term.

But at the APC party’s state secretariat yesterday in Awka, the chairman of the party, Barrister Emeka Ibe, said the broom was being handed over to him by the party in making sure that the current administration of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was swept away.

However, he charged the APC governorship hopeful to be good ambassador of the party in the state, alleging that the current APGA government had misruled Anambra state.

In his response, Senator Andy Uba said the governorship race in the party was not a do or die affair, adding that whoever that emerged as the party’s flag bearer would not disappoint members of the party and the state in general.

He equally assured that the state secretariat of the party was not befitting of a national party like APC, adding that they would make it look like the office of a reigning party in Nigeria.

According to Uba, “what I have seen now in this party, shows that there is unity among the state executive and members of the party in the state”

“But one thing I want to assure members of the party now is that whoever God says that will emerge as the candidate of APC will never disappoint the party, during and after the governorship election in November”
