HRH Igwe Oforbuike Alphonsus Ezeoke escapes assassination attempt, abandoned by Governor Obiano, Igwe Alfred Achebe

www.odogwublog.com reports that HRH Igwe Oforobuike Alphonsus Ezeoke  , the traditional ruler of Amichi Nnewi South local government area of Anambra state narrowly escaped death yesterday as over 25 thugs accompanied by 20 Army officers and 15 SARS officers as well as uniformed policemen invaded his palace.
But for the prompt intervention of native doctors and youths of Amichi, the traditional ruler would have been dead by now as his two central gates were pulled down by the thugs under the supervision of the Nigerian police and Nigerian Army officers.
Igwe Oforbuike called Governor Willie Obiano and the chairman of traditional rulers Council and traditional ruler of Onitsha , Obi Alfred Achebe but they failed him.
The Commissioner of police Mr Sam Okaula and the Commander, 302 Artillery Regiment, Onitsha, Col. Idongesit Akpan, could not help him either. Akpan said he sent his men to Amichi on the request of Commissioner of police to maintain peace and order at Amichi while Okaula denied knowledge of the Army that invaded Amichi to superintend pulling down of Igwe’s gates and harass him.
Igwe was earlier recently arrested and detained in Awka on the orders of the Commissioner of police allegedly and his efforts to other traditional rulers and the authorities that be including Igwe Achebe who told him he was in Europe and Obiano who said he was resting abroad among other top shots in Anambra but no help came and Igwe was in police cell till the next day when an Hausa police top officer Assist CP Waja went to CP’s house to ask for Igwe’s release only to be shocked CP was harassing him for arresting the Igwe and detaining him till day break.
Waja had done everything to stop detaining Igwe after he was ordered to detain him by superior officers who has threatened to arrest Igwe if he did not come to the police CID for interview against the warning of Governor Willie Obiano that traditional rulers should not be arrested or invited to the police no matter the circumstances.
As at the time www.odogwublog.com raced to Amichi, Igwe who was refused police protection four times he applied was been guided by local native doctors and youths even this our correspondent nearly got himself into trouble.
Igwe who was like a prisoner in his palace as at the time of this report appointed accusing fingers to some prominent citizens in Amichi as masterminding his travails for nothing using chairman of Vigilante in Amichi , Chief Jeff Okeke and his cousins whose parents had no issues with him while alive to torment him and wondered why only N250, 000 bribe apiece should make CP and Army Commander not give fair deal in face of tribulation and as duty calls.
Igwe played all the tapes containing the voices of the CP and Army commander to confirm his allegations, even as he said his life is in danger in his palace.
The Area Commander Nnewi and a female DPO were on ground to implement the execution of the humiliation and harassment of the Igwe who said the crisis was as a result of his insistence and with the support of the Amichi community that people should no longer be buried in his palace.
He said the Ikemefuna Titus Ezeoke got police protection and paid for his gates to be pulled down while all the Children of Willy Umezeoke insisted they must bury their late mother inside the palace and hired all the thugs , police and army to intimidate me and my people.
Already , earlier invaders stole 40,000 dollars from him , some ancient artifacts , arresting and detaining 9 people  found inside the palace even tried to rape a lady, while stumping a baby strapped on the mother’s back on the ground.
