PDP Crises: Iwuanyanwu, others pledge loyalty for Makarfi

www.odogwublog.com reports that there is tension in South-East Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  as stakeholders led by Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has pledged their loyalty to the Senator Ahmed Makarfi group, saying the former are established agents of opponents.
This is in spite of the affirmation of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by the court of Appeal.
The disclosure was made in a communiqué issued after a meeting which comprised of the Barrister Charles Ezekwem led state working committee of PDP; members of National Assembly past and present; members of Imo State House of Assembly past and present; former Ambassadors; Ministers; former National and zonal officers; critical stakeholders of the PDP after a meeting on Sunday.
The group resolved that all party members should be vigilant and alert in view of what it described as the "under-hand activities of the Sheriff group in Imo State".
Further, they resolved to be focused and work together in harmony with the ultimate objectives of returning PDP to power in Imo State by 2019.
The group reaffirmed their absolute confidence in the Nigerian Judiciary despite the judgment in favour Senator Sheriff that appears to be stirred the hornets’ nest.
The group said in furtherance of their objective and in consonance with the desire of Imo people to recapture Douglas House in 2019, they "disassociate themselves wholly and entirely both from Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff and his cohorts who are established agents of opponents".
