Mugabe locks up gay couple, won't release them until one of them is confirmed pregnant

Zimbabwe's president, Robert Mugabe has reportedly locked up a gay couple who were planning to get married in the country. The long serving president made it clear that he won't free the gay partners unless there is a medical report coming from a certified Doctor, confirming that one of them is pregnant.

Zimbabwe is one of many African countries where homosexuality of any kind is seriously abhorred. From the tone of the president's statement, it is pretty obvious that the two gay partners would serve a life sentence, since it is practically impossible for a man to get pregnant.
