www.odogwublog.com reports that the founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign States of Biafra and the Biafra Independent Movement(BIM),chief Ralph Uwazuruike has exonerated his members by the threat by the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) to resort to carrying arms if the Nigeria security agents does not retrace its steps from further alleged killing and molestation of Igbo youths.
Uwazuruike who spoke through the leader of MASSOB, chief Solomon Oduchukwu in Owerri noted that the threat by IPOB is a confirmation of his alarm about the violent nature of the group. While describing them as a radical movement,he urged Igbo youths to shun any ill advice by IPOB to incite another war in the country.
He said "Ndigbo can not afford to go into another war, MASSOB strongly exonerates itself from the threat of IPOB, they have always incited violence and this is against the principles of MASSOB ,their threat can only lead to killing of innocent youths in Igbo land and we would never allow another blood shed"
Uwazuruike continued "when you throw stones and other dangerous weapons at security agents ,what do you expect,we would never come down to their level,MASSOB can never be compared to IPOB,we have veritable structures and non violent approaches,we would celebrate MASSOB day on 22, May,Biafra day on 30, May and MASSOB anniversary on 13, September, what has IPOB got to show, nothing but inciting violence" Uwazuruike said.
The Igbo pressures group leader, fondly called "Ijele Ndigbo" welcomed the new leadership of Ohanaeze but charged the new executives to project the interest of Ndigbo, advising them to work to the unity of the south south and the south east.
"We would support the new leadership if they have the interest of Ndigbo at heart,if they support the actualisation of Biafra, they are welcomed" Uwazuruike said.
