Ikpeazu's aide kidnapped, assassinated in Imo

www.odogwublog.com reports security agencies in Imo state still battling from the embarrassment, notorious kidnap suspect, Henry Chibueze popularly known as Vampire gave them, gunmen again on Sunday evening struck and shot dead a special adviser to governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state on media, Abuja liason, Ben Onyeche at Ikenegbu,Owerri.

According to a witness who disclosed this to the said that the gunmen numbering over five trailed the deceased from where he went for shopping, subsequently caught up with him at Maris junction at about 8 pm.

They dragged down his driver who initially showed some resistance and shot his two legs and kidnapped his boss.

The kidnapped aide according to the witness was later discovered lying cold dead on Monday on a pool of his own blood few kilometers away from where he was kidnapped.

Although reason for his assassination is still shoddy, but some sources said his killing may be politically motivated.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relation Officer, Andrew Enwerem said he had about the incident, but he is yet to confirm the identity of the victim.
