Ebube Muonso, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma Exclusive: Release Nnamdi Kanu now, warns Buhari to stop intimidating Ndigbo

www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that the spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, has added his voice for the release of IPOB’s leader Nnamdi Kanu from detention.

He described the continued detention of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, as an intimidation and perpetration of injustice.

Fr. Obinma, who stated this in an exclusive interview with The AUTHORITY, at his Holy Ghost Ministry in Uke, yesterday, said that Kanu, who he described as a freedom fighter, would not have deserved such torture in a nation where the rule of law is at work.

According to him: “How can a freedom fighter – someone fighting for the oppressed without gun and without ammunition, be held hostage; whereas the Boko Haram and similar groups carrying machine guns, destroying things and disturbing the law-abiding citizens are not arrested.

“I wouldn’t see any reason why Nnamdi Kanu should be in prison up till now.

The Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Director in this one in a million interview advocated that the new leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo should speak out without against injustices on Ndigbo without fear or favour.

He as well appealed to Governors from South East to speak out now even as he advised for a united Ndigbo to be able to achieve much.

His words: “So, I want the Ohaneze Ndigbo to speak out. I wonder what the South East governors are doing as regards that case. Those representing the Igbos at different fora, what are they doing?

“Although, an average Igbo man is selfish, but the earlier we caution ourselves, the better. We are not united as Igbo people. If we are playing football as team without having unity of purpose, we cannot score a goal.

“Let the Igbos play as a team.  All hands must be on deck. Pastors and priests of God should speak out.

“I don’t even see the reason why Nnamdi Kanu should be tried secretly. It is uncalled for”, he said.
