Fake soldier, policeman arrested for robbery

Policemen have succeeded in arresting a fake Police officer, Chiemeka Telvin, and a soldier said to have run away from the military, Sani Abubakar, after robbery operations.

One of the suspects, a 43-year-old man called Telvin, who resides at 10 Pam Avenue, Elingbu Obiakpor, in Portharcourt, Rivers state Nigeria, was nabbed in a mercedes Benz truck with registration number ABU 208 UV, belonging to Alon Technical Services Ltd, Prtharcourt, while the other suspect, a 33-year-old man Abubakar who resides at 33 Tudun Wada, Zaria Kaduna State Nigeria, was picked up in a total Corrola car with registration number EKY 128 DM with four occupants after they had snatched some cars at gunpoint.

Men of 51 Police mobile force at Ogbare in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta state swooped on Abubakar's gang while on a stop and search on the Petroleum Training institute [PTI] road in Effurun Delta state. The Delta state commissioner of police, Zanna Ibrahim, who paraded them alongside 14 other suspected traffickers, kidnappers, robbers and 12 cultists, said although Abubakar and his gang attempted to evade arrest, Happy Sunday[24]and Stanley Vincent [29] were arrested .

Ibrahim said men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad[SARS] pounced on the fake policeman while on a routine patrol on Abbraka-Obiaruku Road while escaping in the Mercedes Benz truck.
