N50 Million 2015 Christmas scholarship from His Grace, the Most Rev. Prof. Daddy Hezekiah, MFR excites 50 pioneer students

2015 CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR MESSAGE By His Grace, the Most Rev. Prof. Daddy Hezekiah  MFR, NFNY, JP, Lion of the Tribe of Igbo (Odum Ebo Igbo), Founder and Leader, Living Christ Mission Inc., Proprietor and Chancellor, Hezekiah University, Umudi)

EXPRESSION OF PROFOUND GRATITUDE, APPRECIATION, HONOUR AND THANKSGIVING TO OUR MOST HIGH GOD

If you look around you in your family, clan, village, quarters, street, organization, town and country, you will discover that many people lost their lives this year. Among the dead are the old and the young, including babies. But it has pleased the Lord our God to preserve our lives, thereby making it possible for us to experience yet another Christmas and New Year. Hence, it is with a heart full of thanksgiving, joy and happiness that I express my profound gratitude to God Almighty, the Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, for His immeasurable love, kindness, mercy and care. I also thank Him in a very special way for irrigating us with showers of numerous blessings. Remarkable among His goodness to me this year is the approval and licensing of my University, Hezekiah University, Umudi, by the Federal Government of Nigeria on May 7, 2015. As the Psalmist sings: “O taste and see that the LORD is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in him!” (Psalm 34:8). So I have tasted the Lord and found Him to be good in all respects. Therefore, let us join King David in blessing the Lord at all times in such a way that his praise shall continually be in our mouth. Let us magnify the Lord and exalt His name together for we sought the Lord and He answered us, and delivered us from all our foes, enemies and fears. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!

SPECIAL GREETINGS
I wish to place on record that the establishment of the University was made possible only by God’s intervention. In other words, I did not receive any financial aid, assistance, grant, loan or gift from any organization or government (local, national or foreign) in establishing this university. The truth is that “Forum whence does any help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2).

Many wealthy people in Nigeria and other parts of the world today use their money in building luxury hotels and/or buying private jets, expensive cars and yachts, but I decided to build a University because of the great passion I have for human development through the instrument of education. Besides, my objective is not to make money from the venture. Rather, I desire to assist humanity, especially the less privileged.  Consequently, I decided to charge the lowest fees compared with other private and some state universities in the country. Furthermore, for the five hundred pioneer students, who are admitted during this take-off period, I have awarded each of them one hundred thousand naira scholarship, amounting to fifty million naira (N50,000,000.00). To God be the glory.

Special Appeal to the Staff and Students of Hezekiah University
Let me therefore welcome all the students and staff (academic and non-academic) to Hezekiah University, Umudi, which is the first and only private university in Imo State approved and licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in May 2015. The motto of my University is “Academic Excellence, with Good Morals.” Much as my intention is to build a university that will provide world-class functional education to the students, such education has to be delivered and acquired through good morals. Therefore, as a faith-based institution, the university has zero tolerance for criminal activities including, but not limited to, cultism and cult related activities, examination malpractices, sexual harassment, armed robbery, rape, kidnapping, drug abuse and assassination. We also frown at indecent dressing by staff or students. Therefore, I appeal to all staff and students of the university to be of good behavior in order to maintain the good name, image and reputation of the young university.

My university is open to anyone who desire to receive functional and result-oriented education, irrespective of faith/creed, tribe or race. I strongly believe in freedom of worship according to good morals and the law of our country, Nigeria. Therefore, in terms of admission, there is no discrimination of any sort. This is reflected in the logo of the university, where you have a lion and a lamb living face to face in peace.

COMMENDATION
I wish to commend my children, Princess Chukwunazaekpere and Onyinyeomachukwu Samuel for being instrumental to my joy and happiness, through their exemplary lifestyle, character and behavior. They have continued to make positive impact on the church and the God’s children in general. I will not forget their unparalleled efforts during the construction stage of the Hezekiah, Umudi.

May I also commend all children of God, who have been assisting me in one way or the other. Always bear in mind that you will surely reap whatever you sow.  God will reward you at His appointed time.

I equally wish to commend all men and women of goodwill, who still believe in salvation, and who practice holiness and righteousness in a world that is stinking with iniquity and abomination. According to the scriptures, “Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh” (Genesis  2:24). But today, human beings have set aside God’s design about marriage and replaced it with gay practices, in which case a man leaves his father and mother and cleaves to his fellow man or a woman to her fellow woman to become husband and wife. What an abomination! Therefore, I commend those of you who abhor and condemn same sex marriages because the bible says. “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” “If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.” (Leviticus 18:22. 20:13). May I appeal to all Nations and their leaders to learn something from what President Uhuru Kenyetta told President Obama when he visited Kenya recently that “Legalizing gay rights is a non-issue for Kenyas” while President Muhammadu Buhari told joint session of US Senate and House of Representatives in US that “Gay Practice is against the law in Nigeria and abomination to the culture.”

May commendation also goes to all those who support and stand by the nation of Israel, especially in difficult times like this, when many people (who do not understand the scriptures) are fighting to see if they could wipe out the Jewish State from existence. It is clear that Israel is in a state of war and siege with Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iran/Russia in Syria and even in East Jerusalem and West Bank suicide bombers are a menace to the Jews. It is disgraceful/shameful that while the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyehu is battling for the survival of Israeli nation against threats from Russian Military acts in Syria and Iranian Nuclear war programme which aims at wiping out Israel within 25 years of its nuclear freeze agreement with 5+1 world powers, some decadent fellows/enemies of God and righteousness in Israel are protesting that the government should legalize an iniquitous act God hates most.

HONESTLY THE NATION OF ISRAEL NEEDS STRONG PRAYERS, SUPPORT AND HELP.

Sincerely speaking, true born again Christians, rational and right thinking human beings, lovers of God and the Nation of Israel must be concerned about the existence of Israel especially when one reads what the Bible says, “O God, do not keep silence; do not hold thy peace or be still, O God! For lo, thy enemies are in tumult; those who hate thee have raised their heads. They lay crafty plans against thy people; they consult together against thy protected ones. They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!’ Yea, they conspire with one accord; against thee they make a covenant – the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites, Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyria also has joined them; they are the strong arm of the children of Lot” (Psalm 83:1-8).

It is very unfortunate there is great injustice in this world. For example Turkey took over a great Christian church building in Turkey, the Christians in Southern Lebanon, Pakistan and Islamic nations are greatly persecuted, the temple site where the Jewish people through King Solomon built the 1st great Temple for the Most High God in Jerusalem was taken over by the Moslems where they erected their mosque and many Jews were stabbed and killed in cold blood, yet no one including the UN, EU, CNN, Media House, etc have not acted or said anything. This is very unfair because I can remember how NATO fought against Serbia to save Kosovo etc.

Genuine Christians should unite not for war but to seek the Almighty God and pray/plead with him to save Israel and His people all over the world because some world powers are doing their best to ensure that God is forgotten in this world, while the devil is worshipped and obeyed.
No matter the situation those who love God should be steadfast, watch, pray and do the perfect will of God. Oh children of God be encouraged by what the Bible says “He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant; but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.” (Dan. 11:32), “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another. And then many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because wickedness is multiplied, most men’s love will grow cold. But he who endures to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:9-13), “Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with them, for what his hands have done shall be done to him.” (Isaiah 3:10-11), “What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us” (Romans 8:31).

My beloved ones remain blessed in the Lord and do not panic or fear because our God is the Most Powerful and Most High God who would always sit and be on his throne forever and ever in Jesus name Amen.

A TIME FOR SOBER REFLECTIONS/STOCK-TAKING
From time to time, it is very important for any human being to take stock of their life. By this, I mean examining your life over a period, especially with regard to your utterances and actions. This will help you to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses in your life. It is comparable to undergoing a medical laboratory test designed to find out the cause or type of sickness before the right medication could be applied. You see, many people continue to do the wrong thing because they have never taken time to ask themselves critical questions about what they are doing. For instance, a judge who takes bribe in order to pervert justice, a political leader who embezzles public funds, a kidnaper who kidnaps people in order to obtain ransom, an assassin who receives money in order to kill the innocent, a female student who sells her body in order to pass an examination, a business man who kills his business partner in order to take over the business, a chemist who sells expired drugs in order to make money, a man who marries a fellow man or a woman a fellow woman. All these are abominable things, which people do because they have not reflected soberly on or taken stock of their lives. Hence, this season calls for sober reflection and stock-taking. Please, read the following portions of the scriptures to help you in mending your ways.
1.    For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36).
2.    So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets. (Mt. 7:12).
3.    Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. (Gal. 6:7).
4.    For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse; for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they knew God they did not honor him as God or given thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural  relations with women and were consumed with passions for one another, men committing with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct. They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice the. (Romans 1:18-32).

CONCLUSION
I wish to thank all those who found time to come and rejoice with me, when I celebrated my 48th birthday in the Lord on Sunday 11th October, 2015. May the blessings of God continue to be with you. Finally, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy and Prosperous New Year. Thank you very much indeed.

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and give you peace. So shall they put by name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them” (Numbers 6:24-26).

The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all in Jesus name, Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14).
